black rock - wine cellar

Project Details

After completing the interior of our client’s new home, the next project was to design and build the wine cellar in the basement.

The design vision was to encapsulate a masculine, New York loft feel. All internal walls were painted in a moody charcoal hue to create warmth and intimacy.

The bulkhead ceiling lined in cedar and custom inbuilt cabinetry provide subtle focal interest. Smoked solid oak floorboards provide a sense of grandeur and luxury.

Ambient lighting in black accents allow the space to be ‘on show’ to visitors and perfectly highlight the original paintings on the wall which remain center of attention.

She quickly developed a great understanding of what we liked and we immediately developed great confidence in her selections. Chelsea has extensive product knowledge, a great supply chain and she worked well with the trades people working on-site. She is a great communicator, well organised and made the job look easy. It was a pleasure working with Chelsea and we love the outcome of her work"
