Project Details

An extensive renovation of a brick veneer home, stripped back to frame with the strong vision and intension to transform it into a classic Hampton style.

The client’s approached both builder & building designer to develop the overall construction and engineering of the build to ensure that the overall aesthetic could be achieved prior to engaging with my services. The exterior was rendered with timber added to the gables, decorative moldings around windows and doors including lining boards and rafter tails detailing the eaves.

A custom front door painted in a contrasting black provides a grand feel upon entry. Engineered oak floors flow through the entire interior with plush looped wool carpet and dado paneling to the formal areas. Soft grey walls with white windows, doors and woodwork provide a classical and timeless aesthetic. Custom cabinetry elevates each room providing a sophisticated ambience with veined stone featured in the stylish kitchen and oyster grey in the wet areas. Porcelain ‘stone-look’ floors, large format white tiles wrapped on walls with feature herringbone mosaic tiles create interest and continuity to each wet area.

Exterior and Interior feature lighting provides ambience and mood that appropriately illuminates and compliments each space perfectly. By specifying custom made upholstery items manufactured to suit the client’s individual needs and personal style, hand-selected décor items, furniture, soft furnishings, and window coverings brought the interior seamlessly together.

A masterpiece project completed to the highest of standards to suit a young growing family to admire, enjoy and be proud of.

Client Feedback

"I first contacted Chelsea after reaching a stalemate when it came to choosing colours, both internally and externally, and tile choices for our extensive Eltham renovation. We met together amongst all the 2020 chaos and hit it off straight away! With Chelsea’s love of everything Hamptons, much like myself, it was a match made in heaven. After the initial colour and tile choices were promptly made on our first visit, I quickly realised that Chelsea’s extensive library of ideas and connections were invaluable, and that we could definitely use her help moving forward. We proceeded to work side by side making selections together, everything from window furnishings, sofas, armchairs, artwork to rugs, bed linen, décor and other furniture.... there was so much to do! Chelsea worked tirelessly, always with a smile on her face if I met with her, or with a kind email checking in on the welfare of myself and family before we got down to business. There were also a few frantic emergency phone calls from my end to contend with, on the days that something needed to be changed urgently. And all of this executed by Chelsea with a calm demeanour and can-do attitude. I would like to thank Chelsea, on behalf of myself and family, from the bottom of our hearts as this project now comes to a close in 2022, for all of her effort, time, energy and heart she has put into our project. It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside Chelsea and we would not hesitate in recommending Indigo Interior Design to anyone in the market for a fabulous Interior Designer. Thank you, Chelsea."
