Project Details
A solidly built home from steel, although the exterior bones were sound, the interior required major upheaval to bring it to life.
With a clear vision of renovating the Kitchen and wet areas, the overall layout needed to be reconfigured. By relocating the lounge where the dining table was and re-positioning the meals area in line with the Kitchen created continuity and flow to an open plan room.
The old laminate Kitchen was dated and tired with an injection of personality needed. By introducing a monochrome palette, the island bench was nominated as the hero of the space featuring black v-groove vinyl cabinetry and detailed handles. The remaining joinery was elevated in smooth laminate finish complimented by mottled, soft white reconstituted stone.
A herringbone marble splash back in the Kitchen also featured in the Master Ensuite within an extensive double walk-in shower. The layout of this space wasn’t too dissimilar to the original layout, however with the deletion of an exterior window and corner spa-bath, the double vanity and shower space were well catered for. With the addition of tubular skylights, brushed nickel tapware, feature lighting and a light grey lappatto porcelain tile throughout, this room now exudes a tranquil sophistication.
By painting the entire interior in a warm grey hue, installing high-end vinyl planks over existing flooring, adding v-groove paneling to accent walls and installing feature pendant and wall lights instantly elevated the overall palette.
With the addition of soft, s-fold sheers curtains, new furniture and artwork, this home now inherits a sense of welcome for anyone who visits to be entertained in comfort and style.
